Bottles & Beakers

I have always admired Lucie Rie’s bottles with their classical elegant forms. I throw the bottles in up to three sections which are joined at the leather hard stage. I use a slip which fires bronze, often with sgraffito designs. All narrow based pots are supplied with a dollop of museum wax which protects them from accidental breakage while allowing movement from place to place as desired.
